Make a hanging structure or musical washing line of instruments and sound makers for children to explore in their own time. Include things to shake as well as tap. Experiment with what makes and interesting sound – many metal objects like long spoons have a bell-like sound when they’re hung up. Include the children in choosing and hanging things up.
- hang things on a fence – use old saucepans and any metal objects, and also attach wooden spoons on long strings for hitting them with.
